The Broward County Tax Collector’s Office is an independent constitutional office operating in accordance with Florida Statutes. The Office’s primary responsibility is to collect and distribute ad valorem and non-ad valorem real estate taxes that are set by the County Commission, local taxing authorities and special levying districts. The monies collected are used to fund essential services and community programs, including public safety, hospitals, schools, roads, parks and more.
