Renewal options

  • Broward County Tax Collector is accessed directly through browardtax.org. The $3.50 fee is charged per registration — if you renew two vehicles separately, the fee applies twice.
  • MyDMV Portal is Florida’s statewide renewal site. The $2.00 fee covers your entire cart — if you are renewing multiple vehicles, this is the more cost-effective option.

Expect your registration by mail within 7-10 business days.

Renew your registration in two minutes or less at a kiosk near you.

Must have:

  • Registration renewal notice PIN, or
  • License plate number and date of birth of the first registrant

What to know before you go

  • The $4.50 convenience fee applies to every kiosk transaction in addition to the 2.3% credit card fee — both are charged by the kiosk vendor, not the Tax Collector.
  • Kiosks are located inside Publix and Sedano’s supermarkets across Broward County. Check the kiosk locations list for the nearest one.
  • Your updated registration and decal print on the spot — no waiting for mail delivery.
  • Kiosks do not accept cash. Credit and debit card only.

Renew your vehicle, vessel or mobile home registration online and pick it up at our Plantation office the next business day.

Renewal Eligibility

Broward County offers a two-year (24-month) registration renewal option for most passenger vehicles. Renewing for two years means one less trip and one less renewal fee cycle — the full two-year fee is due at the time of renewal.
