At this time, Broward County driver license locations are operated by Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. The Broward County Tax Collector’s Office is preparing to take over Broward County driver license services beginning in the summer of 2026. This is an incredible opportunity to bring greater efficiency to a service so many residents rely on, including registration renewal and other essential motor vehicle services. Following site visits and a thorough review of current operations, the office has identified key areas for improvement in technology, personnel, and the overall customer experience. These changes are expected to result in reduced wait times and a significantly improved experience for all Broward County residents.
