Community conversations play an important role in improving public service. Broward County Tax Collector Abbey Ajayi recently joined members of the Imperial Point Association for their monthly community meeting to provide updates from the Broward County Tax Collector’s Office and discuss what residents can expect in the future.
The meeting provided an opportunity for residents to learn more about upcoming service enhancements, expanded digital payment options and new ways the Tax Collector’s Office is working to make essential services easier, faster and more convenient.
During the meeting, Ajayi discussed the office’s continued efforts to modernize services and improve the customer experience. These efforts include expanding technology, increasing access to online services and finding more convenient ways for residents to complete transactions.
Community meetings also give residents an opportunity to ask questions, learn about available services and provide feedback directly to the office.
Ajayi thanked Betty Shelley, president of the Imperial Point Association, for the invitation and for her continued leadership and advocacy on behalf of Imperial Point residents
The visit reflects the Broward County Tax Collector’s ongoing commitment to public service, transparency, accessibility and continuous improvement.
In addition to providing property tax, business tax and motor vehicle services, the office is focused on developing lasting relationships with residents, local governments, nonprofit organizations, businesses and civic leaders throughout Broward County.
Participating in neighborhood meetings allows the office to share accurate information about available services while developing a better understanding of the needs of individual communities.
Community feedback is an important part of improving government services. Conversations with residents can help identify challenges, clarify common questions and guide future service improvements.
Each community engagement provides the Tax Collector’s Office with an opportunity to hear directly from the people it serves. This feedback helps the office evaluate its services and identify ways to make transactions more efficient, accessible and centered on the customer experience.
These discussions also help residents understand the services available through the office and where they can find reliable information and assistance.
As the Broward County Tax Collector’s Office continues expanding technology, improving accessibility and increasing outreach, collaboration with community organizations remains essential.
Through events such as the Imperial Point meeting, Ajayi continues to emphasize accountability, responsiveness and a people-first approach to public service.
The office remains committed to creating additional opportunities for community engagement, supporting organizations that strengthen Broward County and ensuring residents have convenient access to accurate information and high-quality service.
