Personal vehicle registrations expire at midnight on the first owner’s birthday.

Heavy Trucks

Personal Heavy Trucks up to 7,999 pounds registrations expire at midnight on the first owner’s birthday.

Vessels

Vessel registrations expire at midnight on the owner’s birthday. Registration is required for vessels with a motor.

Mobile Homes

Mobile home registrations expire annually on December 31.

Kiosks

Renew your registration in two minutes or less at a kiosk near you. Coming soon to locations throughout Broward. 

Must have: 

  • Registration renewal notice PIN, or 
  • License plate number and date of birth of the first registrant 

Vehicle registrations are eligible for renewal at a kiosk if they do not:

  • Require a new license plate to be issued 
  • Have insurance, driver license or toll suspensions 
  • Require a Florida Certificate of Insurance or IRS Heavy Vehicle Use Tax “2290” 
  • Autonomous Vehicles 
  • Boats 
  • Government Vehicles 
  • IRP Registrations  
  • Mobile Homes 
  • National Guard License Plates 
  • Personalized License Plates 
  • Parking Permits or Placards

Pay online and select “In-person Pick Up” to skip the wait. When you receive notice, collect your new registration at our Plantation office.
